Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving has been a good break from work and a good time to clear my head.

Got the relaxation that I really needed and thought about various random things.

Things like possibly buying real estate in Mexico! I was watching an NBC documentary on 'gringos' who had started buying up the beach front property there which would cost millions in the US and thought to myself-- what if? What if I just found a job where I could telecommute and then live in Baja Mexico like a king? The houses showcased in the documentary were between 60k-250k and they were absolutely amazing. They were right on the beach! Ahhh that would be awesome.

I also finally had some time to talk with Wendy about travel plans to Costa Rica. We outlined which cities we were visiting, rental car costs, hotel costs, and required travel checklists. Leaving on 12/10/04. Hurray!

I've also been doing some reading and thinking about my career:

The career journal site has an awesome number of articles that were very insightful.

Did I mention that I've been watching altogether too much TV?!?

Speaking of which, I was watching Sarah Mclaughlin's new video for her song "World on Fire." For those of you who haven't watched it, Sarah spent about $15 on the video and donated the rest of the money ($150,000) to charitable causes around the world. The video highlights where the money went and the absolute horrendous conditions that people in the third world nations are living under.

Everytime I watch that video I can't help but feel moved and wonder what I'm doing with my life. I often donate money to charitable causes, but maybe I should think about more ways to help people. In any case, it really made me step back from all the chaos that is my life and realize how thankful and grateful I should be about where I am today.
