Ahh the food was good
Ok the food was definitely good at that buffet. I didn't have a chance to finish my last entry because I got too busy stuffing my face.

The place supposedly has the number one pstry chef in the area. And I believe it! It had really awesome desserts (flan, mousse etc. -- yum yum)

Anyhow back to the mini updates.

We've shopped on the strip, visited fremont street and eaten all sorts of cheap $1.06 food items and gambled.

We also karoaked on the strip!! Kung-fu fighting was the song :)

There were probably a few hundred people watching. It was a lot of fun!!

Ok that's it for now..gotta start having more fun. Dixie chicks concertis tonight at 6:30pm so lots of booze and gambling needs to occur before then.

5 1/4 and Las Vegas mini update
So today is our 5 1/4 anniversary and we're in line for supposedly the best lunch buffet on the strip.
in the Paris hotel. We managed to saved a bunch of money because of Wendy's "squeaky wheel".

First Day in Vegas
Wow I'm in las vegas blogging on my phone.

So quick updates:
my flight was delayed so we didn't get to walk the strip until midnight

I managed to lose a stylus on the plane because of the stupid treo design. I think the stylus holder has gotten so loose that I won't be putting anymore styli in there.

Now some of the highlights. Won some money playing video poker, drank some beer and went to oshea's for some cheap eats.

On top of that, Wendy went though some testibng yesterday and has a 132 IQ. Pretty smart fiance I have.

Ok more updates later.

Got my own domain stevelin.net!
I got my own domain! Hurray!!!

In the future (?), I may move all my photo stuff there so that I can actually upload photos without worrying (too much) about space restrictions. At least it won't be as small as what I've got here.

Now I've somehow got all these things to do for my website. Transition from GreyMatter to Moveable Type, which is supposed to be seamless and have better support and I wanna have something portal-ish like what Dennis or Lu have. Basically add an about me page along with a link to this blog and my photos.

I want to thank my friend Paul who was gracious enough to let me use space on his machine that hosts Loveshack. Thanks man!

P.S. Click here if you wanna visit Wendy's new site (lots of photos).

Gah!
I lost the Ebay auction :(

That's ok I'll just keep chugging and try to buy that LCD for my poor disabled laptop.

In case you're wondering why I'm posting this late, I'm still at work (hah not working right now I guess) trying to figure out why my build is being evil to me! Stupid thing!

In fact, I think I'll write a haiku about it:

Hot late-summer nights,
Are when evil-build robs sleep,
Stupid stupid, thing!

In other news: Wendy got her own website and she joined friendster! She's getting totally e-- after laughing at me for it. Now I must acquire my own domain name. Possibly stevelin.org, so that I can actually *host* my photos. Right now the csua accounts only give us 20MB-- that's definitely not enough to put up pictures.

Just as a reminder: My blog is now #2 under the search terms steve lin and blog as well as stevelin and steve lin and I'm still #1 for stevelin :) :)

Ok back to work:

Oh eee Ohhh..OOOOooohhh.

Oh the tragedy!
I stepped on my laptop's lcd today. My trusty vaio z505 that travels with me everywhere! Oh so very sad. I think the backlight or something is totally jacked because the thing boots up now and just looks totally dark. Sigh, so so sad!!

But that's ok I've already got a bid on ebay for another similar model laptop :) :)

It comes with extra battery, parts etc. Eventually I'll get a replacement LCD for that one, but at this point all the quotes I've seen for an LCD replacement are going for roughly the price of a working laptop + parts that would cost me nearly $200 (which I currently don't have anymore).

Right now the bid is at $415, I really hope it doesn't go much higher because I really want the replacement laptop now damnit! Maybe I should just buy a newer laptop though...hmmm....
