Monday, April 21, 2003My Birthday PartyMan, what a night of fun! Last Friday, my friends from supreme boba and Berkeley came together to celebrate my big 24th birthday. Thanks to awesome planning by Maggie, we managed to squeeze everyone on the eVite at il postale. The food there was really awesome! Afterwards, we got our drink on at Tom & Jeff's apartment and played a few games of Taboo® while inebriated. Then came a big surprise for me: the supremeboba society presented me an inverted *huge* bowl of almond jelly and strawberry (?) jello. The stipulation for me getting my present was to eat, sans mains, a full bowl of jello before I came to my ultimate prize: a shiny brand new graphics card! Thanks guys!! But that wasn't all! After I had finished eating my way to my present, Chris brought out this great spongish cake she hand made from scratch for my b-day :) Her first time making cake from scratch too (well second since there was an original rev 1.0 that is somewhere in her house)! It was really tasty!! In fact, it was so good that I managed to have a coupla slices even after eating a *ton* of jello! I think I'll remember that night for a long-time to come. Thanks to everyone who came and made it so special! BTW, there will be revenge in the form of srirancha-laced cake for the creator of the jello idea, I will be perfecting my recipe over time :) :) posted @ 04:47 PM PST [link] |
