Thursday, April 3, 2003Big squid sighting
See the big squid here. I saw it while trolling through the motd. Made me wonder what Tom and Maggie where doing in Europe. I think Maggie is actually posting to her blog from Europe. Computers while on vacation? That's a big nono. :). But since you guys are already out there and possibly reading this blog, here's my haiku version of a request for more content.
Haiku: ====== Ode to squid and magz, Who frolick throughout europe. Where are the pictures?

Turns out that I had the settings on my mom's high-tech scale totally wrong. As of today, I'm 184.2lbs and 20.9% fat. I'm trying to curb my fried food intake but its been a semi-losing battle. I tend to get into the mentality of: Oh I'm already here so I'll just munch on this fried chicken. For some reason, I just *like* fried stuff.
Besides that, I've joined the 24 hour fitness center next to my house. The deal was pretty sweet: a 3 year membership prepaid for $18.50 a month (including all applicable fees). They threw in 1 month membership guest passes, a towel, a bag, a shaker bottle, and two sessions with a fitness trainer. My first training session will be on Thursday.
On the work front, I'm kinda behind. I'm having my first code review later next week, and I can't get myself to start coding. I'm a bit worried, but I think the timetable should be manageable. In any case, the hardware still hasn't come and is getting pushed back-- so that just means I get more time to verify/code what I need to code/verify.
My friends Tom & Maggie are now touring Europe together. I told Tom to take lots of pictures so that I can see where they went when they come back. That way, I can ask them where the best/most fun places were to visit. It'll be a great precursor for my eventual trip to Europe with Wendy.
Finally, I've already gotten the week of in May :). Florida/Disneyworld here we come!
