02/23/2006: "Wedding website"

So I bought a domain and 2 years hosting from dreamhost.

Initial impressions:
Awesome deal! With the $97 coupon, I'm pretty much paying $3.87/month for a domain, 20GB space, 1TB of transfer, perl/python/php/mysql support, shell access (major plus), and email/mx records management. On top of that I can point as *many* domains as I want to the site and it has a great control panel. Really awesome!

The other thing that really struck me was how slick their ordering system is. Literally 3 pages and you're set. The only downside was that the coupon section was down for a bit causing me to waste about 20 minutes inputting valid coupons only to get "invalid" after what appeared to be a timeout on the backend.

So far, I'm loving it!

Stay tuned the wedding website should probably be up by the weekend.

Then I'll see if I can migrate some of this blog's photos/content over to the other place. 20GB is just awesome!! I'm stoked!!
