12/18/2005: "I think I'm getting ripped off by Comcast"

I ran a line test and found what I've long suspected was a problem with my download rates:

629.8 kilobits per second

I believe I was quoted as getting up to 3MBits downstream. For this type of second rate service, my fees are a ridiculous $42.95. Compare this with SBC DSL which is only $14.95 a month. Even with a local phone line and taxes, I'd be saving money.

Yeesh I should've cancelled this a long time back. Looking at my expenditures, I probably overpaid about $100 bux this year alone. Crap.
